Cynthia Dunleavy, PA-C, is our newest provider at Alpenglow Pain and Wellness. Cynthia is a Certified Physician Assistant and a member of both the Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants & American Academy of Physician Assistants. Since 2018, Cynthia has worked as Physician Assistant in the Anchorage area. Specifically, Cynthia has a background in Neurology and Orthopedic Surgery which is complimentary to the field of Interventional Pain Medicine.
In alignment with the Alpenglow Pain & Wellness philosophy on patient care, Cynthia is dedicated to providing thorough and compassionate care and focusing on the whole person.
Cynthia grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. She discovered her love for medicine when she started working in the medical field during high school. She had varied experiences in different medical offices such as Oncology, Radiology, Chiropractic Care, and Primary Care.
In 2011, Cynthia pursued training as a Medical Assistant and worked as a medical assistant for a few years. Her MA experience inspired her to further her career and become a Physician Assistant. Cynthia attended the University of Washington MEDEX Program where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Degree in 2018.
In her free time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family and the outdoors. Growing up in Alaska allowed her to experience what became her favorite outdoor activities—snowboarding and hiking. Cynthia is determined to help patients feel and live the best life they possibly can, through active involvement in treatment plans and educational awareness of their specific medical conditions. Cynthia is also bilingual, fluently speaking English and Spanish to better provide for our patients.
